It is a beautiful place and well worth the visit but don't expect much in the way of caves. The shelters are definately worth the trip though. :) So anyway, with fantasies of suspending myself high in the air, I threw the requisite gear into my kickass McHale pack and headed down the trail to one of southern Indiana’s finest cliffs. It’s a place known as Messmore, and it offers a 105 foot cliffside drop along with some great scenery.

The Hemlock Cliff Loop trail descends into the canyon and covers about 2.0 miles.
